Kitchen Design Evolution! A New Beginning!



The search is on for a contemporary kitchen that will evolve past the flat expanses of uniform glossy panels; and that is why kitchen designers at the leading edge of the industry are now exploring angular definitions.  Contemporary kitchen design is mutating and the process is beginning to deliver the next generation of kitchens.
These new designs are loosely built upon the flat linear lines that made contemporary kitchen design such an unstoppable commercial freight train, but now designers are adding some subtle punctuation to their designs.
The use of depth, height and colour variation allows the popular linear appearance to stay, but it is now re-energised to create a completely new look.  Higher cabinetry sections become functional pods whilst lower sections blend more easily into a living space.  Key functional elements can appear less obvious because the viewer is distracted by aesthetical variations within the design. 
By becoming more intensely scrutinised, kitchen designers are now beginning to deliver a product that is respected for its complexity and quite simply, its design!

Style Peacemaker

To mediate is to broker agreement and here we see a kitchen becoming a style peacemaker.   The industrial architecture sets the contemporary scene aptly aided by the exposed ventilation system which has been laid bare through the calculating incisions made by an architect’s drafting pen.   Light is allowed to penetrate and contradict the industrial space through more classically styled windows, casting shadows that have been polluted by the traditional influence of Georgian frames. Functional Revolution Through Artistic Evolution

  Amongst the chaos there is order! And here we see a vibrant mix of functional art that inspires the onlooker to delve deeper into this design and realise the complex levels of thought that have inspired such a flagrant disregard for convention. Excitement can be conjured by the exotic, and this design by Gitta Gschwendtner for Schiffini floats the notion that functionality can become an artistic experiment.   To some this may just be a series of boxes but to others this could be seen as an attempt to deliver a functional revolution through artistic evolution. The Mogul approves!
