Playing With Shapes

In order for kitchen design to keep pace with the evolution of human existence we must consider new ideas and innovations.   By rejecting the surrounding architecture as the divine design influencer kitchen designers are free to explore diverse shapes and forms which allow the kitchen to perform its primary functional role but also encourages new interior design and social trends. This kitchen is a play with shapes, a simple combination of forms which helps to maximise functional performance while delivering aesthetic desire in a compressed form.   By Including a book shelf this free standing design even manages to consider how it can replace traditional living room furniture.   It’s reassuring to know that even though our living spaces and kitchens are becoming more compressed designers can still find room for the ever essential wine cooler!!   Cheers!!

Narnia Kitchen

This design embraces openness, showcasing a willingness to share its inner most contents through the medium of open shelves, while at the same time having the ability to harbour a secret indulgence in a Narnia concealing corner larder! The island stands out as an artistic indulgence with the circular drum acting as a contrasting counter weight to the entire design and providing an interesting platform for culinary and social exchange. The Mogul loves this design and can see influences from several quarters.   One being more dominant than the rest!!   The client! Great Job!

Pole Dancer!

There is a lot going on in this design with the basic contemporary format delivering above and beyond the call of duty!   There is an introverted and narcissistic approach to this design with the mirrored door panels delivering a voyeuristic vision of the kitchen allowing the featured crisscross door pattern to become more subtly amplified. Have the reflective qualities of these particular doors been positioned in order to enhance the aesthetical impact of the design or is it something to do with the lap dancing pole! The classical styling of the posts and legs add some friction to the design but balance is restored by having these features finished in smooth, flashy chrome!   All we need now are some blue lights, a glitter ball and the supersonic sounds of the 70’s!   Queue the dancers! Note to self!   Mirrored doors are becoming a trend – possibly a by-product of continued population growth and smaller living spaces, or are we becoming more selfishly cosmetic with our aest

Spacetime of Kitchen Design

Behold!   A sand blasted blue granite creation that has the ability to unbalance the current trajectory of accepted kitchen design.   A glimpse through this wormhole of design, space and time gives moderate designers a taste of what is coming; a selfish and incredibly stylish example of functional art by Minotticucine.   Jaw droppingly brilliant!!
