Functional Thinking

Purity is a desirable attribute especially if used to disguise complexity!  This design manages to encourage a lingering desire to admire, the type of art gallery presence that demands quiet contemplation to fully appreciate.  By cleverly layering simple linear forms and combining a reserved colour palette this under stated design could be considered a masterpiece of functional thinking! Think about it!

Kitchen Masquerade

White kitchens are still popular because they are timeless, can be easily absorbed into architecture, they react well to light and can emphasise the purity of contemporary design; they also provide an opportunity for a big personal reveal.   By pealing back the layers of this transforming design you can see that the beauty and warmth of wood is revealed.   The expressionless exterior is just a masquerade, fooling the viewer into thinking that this kitchen has no soul!   Only a very subtle backing panel with integrating lighting provides an insight into the depth of this design, providing just enough personalised contrast for the asymmetrical wall cabinetry to shine! Love it!

Pure Contradiction!

Only light is allowed to influence the purity of this design.   The subtle contradiction between linear form and textured finish creates an interesting proposition for any architectural space.   The split level cantilever with unobtrusive supporting element gives the design an edgy feel and allowing this feature to penetrate through the surface material is a real master stroke! The Mogul likes this one!

Snow Blind Abyss

At first glance it might seem that this is your average, run of the mill, been there, done that white monolithic kitchen, but upon closer inspection it seems that this design is attempting to raise the bar by creating division. The snow blinding whiteness helps to camouflage a deep functional gorge, an abyss that strikes though the heart of this kitchen like a hot knife through butter.   This worktop fracture acts as a docking station for contrasting walnut accessories which help stimulate the design and assist functionality.   It could be argued though that this unique feature could resist its intended functional programming, unwittingly attracting worktop elements in an invisible gravitational tractor beam and causing them to fall beyond the natural reach of the user.   The integrated induction technology, which is only defined by light worktop incisions, gives this design a futuristic and minimal edge while the perforated doors add subtle texturing to the design.

White Kitchen Pod

The Mogul loves white kitchens as they are a welcoming canvas for reflective light and shadows.   This kitchen is brilliant as it is free hung from the wall allowing the plinth to be removed and a shadow line to be created....this shadow void is absolutely crying out for some subtle mood lighting!   This design also proves that you don’t need acres of wall space to create a brilliant kitchen...why not ignore the walls and place the kitchen in the middle of the room, handy if the architecture is tricky!
