"This is the finest blog I have seen for the kitchen industry. The designs unveiled on this site are so insanely new and innovative, you'll find them here before any publication can muster pen to paper. This is a site from a blogger with a true kitchen design obsession that will have you reading every column inch with pleasure and delight."

Kitchen For a Paper House

This origami inspired space is the realisation of the clients dream and the fulfilment of the architect’s vision!
The kitchen is perfectly absorbed into the overall design by using a finish that matches the surrounding architecture.  But this kitchen is still making its presence felt!
The long continuous slab of black granite dominates the design offering the viewer a strong contrast to the subdued background.  The cantilever appears to be endless causing the eye to appreciate its size.  The creators at Studio Octopi have also integrated the potentially problematic structural column into the island design to make it seem as though it was always meant to be!
Reflective and colourful light is allowed to enter the room from numerous angles animating the space, add to this the large door that opens onto a granite clad terrace and this kitchen is allowed to travel outside!
